GLENCOE & LOCH NESS
If it’s Highland scenery you’re looking for these locations have it all. Taking you through the mountains of Glen Coe you’ll need your camera ready to capture some of the most idyllic sights known to man • The village of Glencoe, an area infamous for the 1692 Massacre of the Clan MacDonald, is on the banks Loch Leven. We can recommend a charming place for some refreshments in an area more recently featured in the world acclaimed Harry Potter film, the Prisoner of Azkaban • Continuing north for approx. 75 mins you reach the popular village of Fort Augustus & the mouth of Loch Ness • You have the option of going Nessie hunting by boat or taking the drive north alongside the Loch to reach the popular ruins of Urquhart Castle • On your journey home we take a more direct route south, crossing the River Forth whilst viewing the splendour of the 1890 built Forth Bridge – recently acclaimed UNESCO World Heritage site.
