THE KINGDOM OF FIFE, ST ANDREWS & OUTLANDER
Upon crossing the famous UNESCO World Heritage Forth Bridge, let us take you to Scotland’s ancient capital city of Dunfermline. There you will visit the 12th century Abbey with it’s long association with royalty, most notably King Malcolm & St. Margaret • Making the short journey along the coast we stop at the historic village of Culross (pronounced Cooriss) where it’s charm has been put to good use in the popular television series Outlander. The Abbey & Palace can be explored along with the splendours of this historic village • Heading deeper into Fife we come upon the picturesque village of Falkland, home of the 16th century Fàclann Palace. Fans of the Outlander series will recognise the town as the setting of 1940’s Inverness • Continuing north we make the brief drive to the Mecca of all golfers and scholars, St. Andrews. The town boasts it’s famous Links Course, University, Cathedral & Castle ruins. It’s a vibrant town with many niche shops & eateries as well as it’s famous ice cream!
